frequently asked questions
Q. What sizes do you provide?
We provide 4 standard widths and 2 standard heights; please refer to the size section for the structural opening dimensions required for these. We can also make bespoke sizes for additional 20%. Please tell us the structural opening width, height and wall thickness and we can advise the correct sizes for you.
Q. How long is the lead time?
Lead time is currently 6-8 weeks. We do hold a number of standard doors in stock, lead time for these items is 2-4 weeks. Please contact us for current stock doors.
Q. How long does it take to install the doors?
Once the method of fitting the doors is learnt, our door sets should be installed into a prepared opening in around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Please refer to the installation video for instructions.
Q. Can you fit the doors for us?
We can. We have our own teams of skilled fitters that cover the whole of the UK. Please contact us for a quotation.
Q. What finishes are available?
The main finishes in our portfolio are; veneer, laminate, painted and all glass. Within those finishes there are huge numbers of various styles from glass designs to the use of inlaid and cross banding veneer.
Q. What’s included in the door sets?
With our standard door sets we provide doors, frames, architraves, locks, hinges, hinge housing, strike plates & choice of handles. For bathroom doors we also provide a bathroom lock and thumbturn. For glass doors we provide all of the standard elements as well as glass specific hinges, upgraded hinge housing and a lock case. Our fire doors have the addition of intumescent strips, profile locks, cylinders, upgraded hinges, hinge housing and solid core. We do not include door closers but can provide these, either overhead or concealed, we can also supply the doors with the drillings already made for the closer!
Q. Can I fit your doors into my existing frame?
Our door set is designed to ‘wrap around’ the wall, so yes it is possible. The architraves and door stop will have to be removed but the liner can stay. This applies for new build, where the liner is in place for the plastering or for a refurbishment where the original liner is already in place. Please let us know the dimension between the liners so we can work out the correct size you will need.
