sliding doors

sfk25 specification and details

SFK25 sliding stacking doors create an open, flexible and modern space for both living and working environments. An ideal solution for dividing rooms or office space and enclosing balconies so that you have an unobstructed view.

Each panel of the SFK25 system works individually and stacks to one side so that you can have as much or as little of the glass wall open at any one time.

Dimensions

Panels can reach up to 2600mm in height and the maximum panel width is 800mm.

Access

The SFK25 is normally accessed only from the inside via an attractive stainless steel circular nib handle with a thin stainless steel cable, which operates shoot-bolt locks into the top and bottom tracks. It is possible to have this operation both inside and out where required i.e. room dividers.

Weather proofing

The essence of this system is to achieve maximum light without vertical obtrusion. Being single glazed it cannot be used as a primary glazing system however it will help prevent the harsh weather penetrating to the inside. Should there be any moisture by way of condensation to the inside surfaces there is a channel at the base to allow the water to drain to the outside.

Appearance

Fully adjustable aluminium frames can be coloured to suit your tastes. Standard finishes include silver anodised (EV1) and polyester powder coated white (RAL 9010 or 9016). RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey) will be available from April 2007.

Glazing

Toughened single glazing is available in 8mm or 10mm - manufactured to BS6206a.

Suspension

Panels are top hung (suspended) with a bottom guide.

Stacking arrangement

The benefit of this system is the ability for each panel to turn through 90o or any faceted angle up to 180o leaving a complete open corner or bay. This makes it an ideal solution to enclose cantilevered balconies for the vagaries of our climate.
